The R2 VHF Radio is a fully GMDSS compliant VHF safety radio approved to ETS300, IMO, EU MED ( Ships wheel) , FCC and SOLAS regulations which can also be used for day to day communications

The R2 is a flexible VHF radio solution that complies with all of the GMDSS emergency radio requirements when fitted with a Lithium Battery pack ( Part No. 84-210) and also, through the option of a fitted re-chargeable Nicad Battery Pack ( Part No. 84-211) , can be used as a general usage handheld radio. A range of rapid and trickle chargers are also available for the Nicad Battery.
The R2 is supplied as a main body and antenna, with all accessories, batteries and chargers user selectable to suite individual requirements.
The R2 has 19 Simplex channels and the following operational functions; dual watch, scan memory, squelch, scan all, scan priority, tri-watch, ilumination control, 2.5W / 1W selectable transmission power.It is waterproof to 1metre and drop tested to cope with the toughest marine environments.
