Shielded metal arc welding of 18% Cr-8% Ni stainless steel such as SUS 304.
Characteristics on usage
- NC-38 and HIMELT-308 are lime-titania type electrodes, and HIMELT-308 makes higher welding efficiency by higher amperage.
- As these electrodes deposit austenitic weld metals, which contain suitable quantity of ferrite, weld ability is especially excellent with better crack resistibility.
- Furthermore, heat resistibility, corrosion resistibility, and mechanical properties are good in the as-welded condition.
