Why Blast Room
There are several advantages of installing a blast chamber, both economical and environmental.
* Weather constraints are no longer a problem. You can blast 24 hours per day, 365 days a year allowing you to achieve higher productivity and meet customer' s deadlines.
* The controlled environment assists your blaster to achieve a consistent quality of work, reducing rework.
Typically Blast Room will incorporate an automatic abrasive recycling system which allows the use of recyclable abrasive, reducing your costs drastically. Not only do you reduce purchase costs of abrasive, you also reduce handling and disposal costs
By containing all your dust from your blasting operation, your general site environment is cleaner and tidier and your neighbors are happier too.
Features of Blast Room
1. The chamber itself includes ceiling lights, rugged doors and it is normally lined with corrugated galvanized or rubber sheet internally to resist the act of abrasion. The room must also have correctly sized air entry and exit plenums for efficient ventilation without allowing abrasive to escape
2. The dust collection and ventilation system provides sufficient airflow in the blast room to keep dust level low, increase operation visibility and to quickly clear the dust from the room when blasting ceases.
3. An abrasive recovery system conveys the spent abrasive to a central point for cleaning and recycling.
4. The abrasive recycling and cleaning unit clean the used abrasive by separating dust load, paint flakes and contaminant from the good and reusable abrasive. The processed abrasive is then stored in a silo and to be used again.
5. Blast pots, hoses and nozzles are selected to suit the blast room function. Typically multiple outlets are installed ti allow more than one operator to blast continuously.
6. Dehumidifier is designed to control the Relative Humidity within blast room by prolonging the rate of oxidation while providing continual operation
