I grew up with a thermos in my lunch box that I took to school and my mother always filled it with warm foods or liquid. Just unscrew the top and it became a nice cup to drink from. The only problem was that the older plastic models tended to crack and leak more often than not and they didn't hold up over time. Now, you can buy nice stainless steel coffee thermoses that look great and don't leak and you are probably brewing your own coffee at home and could use a good coffee mug or thermos to travel with on your way to work. Campers have used thermos mugs for years on outdoor excursions since they are durable and light.
