The 350 Fry Extruder

The 350F uses specialized techniques for proper extrusion of fried product.

The action of a three-blade grooved brass plate rotating against another grooved brass plate, along with conditions of pressure and heat, allow for the gelatinization of raw materials at approximately 260 derajat F ( 127 derajat C) .

A narrow gap between these two plates, the rotor and the stator, allows the product to expand and form as desired. The blades of a circular knife on the rotor plate cut the product to desired size.

Grains enter the extruder at approximately 15% moisture content, to assure optimum product expansion. Expansion and texture of the product can be varied through changes in the moisture, feed screw speed, and type of brass used in the extruder heads. The model 350F is designed to manufacture higher density and crunchier collets.
