AUSTRIA
SAVE A LIFE iis a patented abseiling system with which people can
save themselves from a danger zone ( e.g. a burning building) . It
consists of three components:
All the components of the SAVE A LIFE Rescue System have been
tested by TÜ V according to EN norms; they also bear the CE
designation according to the 89/ 686/ EEC directives. The certifi cations
are valid throughout the European Union. The TÜ V has approved the
system for abseiling heights up to 300 metres and for body weights up
to 150 kg.
THE STANDARD Self-Rescue System was developed for use in
households, hospitals, hotels, schools, etc.
The PROFI Rescue System was conceived for professional rescue
services.
Both systems can be deployed in cyclic shuttle operation if two pairs
of rescue overalls are used.

STANDARD Self-Rescue System:
The anchorage point is fi rmly mounted in a window frame, above the
window of the potential escape route. The Rescue System is kept in
the immediate vicinity of the escape route.
Here’ s how it works ...
If an emergency occurs:
- Hook the rescue device into the anchorage point.
- Don the rescue overalls and close the zipper.
- Hook the rescue rope onto the rescue overalls ( by placing the
carabiner into the two rings sewn onto the chest area) .
- Sit on the windowsill and slide outwards.
- Abseiling is automatic and the speed is controlled.
- After landing, remove the rescue overalls and hang them back into
the carabiner on the rope ( back and forth operation) .

PROFI Rescue System:
The PROFI Rescue System is additionally equipped with two open
screw eyes. If the rope end which is not bearing a load and passes
over the open screw eye, the rescuer can adjust the abseiling speed
at any time.
