Product Description:

C050 Chilling/Heating HPLC Column Oven is completely solid state. The only moving parts in the unit are the coolings fans. This makes the design of the C050 truly reliable. Being Peltier based, it has no compressors of CFC's to worry about. This design makes the unit very energy efficient using only 120 watts of power maximum. That is less than many light bulbs.

The display is a back-lit, two-line alphanumeric type with 16 characters per line. It displays target and actual temperature, count-down timer and injection counter if used. It also displays program number and step while running a program. The display reads to 0.1ºC and displays the timer from 30 days to 1 second. When the timer counts down to zero and audible alarm will sound for I minute and the timer will start to count up showing the user how much time has expired since the timer counted to zero.

To set a temperature touch the UP or DOWN arrows until the display shows the target temperature required. The unit will now heat or chill automatically to reach and hold that target while displaying the actual chamber temperature at all times. When the target temperature stabilizes, the Stable Temp light will illuminate and stay lit as long as temperature is stable.

The chamber is machined from a solid piece of aluminum for excellent conductivity and integrity and is anodized to protect the surface. It is 15� (38.1cm) long by 1.5� (3.81cm) deep and wide and can accommodate most commonly used columns and fittings. There are slots in both ends for entering and exiting tubing. The chamber has a sloping floor that tilts toward the drain on the right end of the chamber. The drain tube is 1/4� OD by 1/8� ID for matching readily available tubing. There are three column spring clamps in the chamber for ¼� and 3/8� diameter columns. Column simply snap into place and are held snuggly.

The CO50 chamber is insulated with chemically resistant silicon rubber. The case construction is ABS plastic and sheet steel painted with chemically resistant epoxy paint. The cover is machined from block polycarbonate to resist heat and chemicals.

The unit comes complete with a universal power supply that takes AC line inputs from 100 to 260VAC, 50/60Hz and converts that to 12 volts DC for operating the unit. Also included are a three-wire, grounded AC line cord for the country of use, column counter cable, and user’s manual.
