Announcement: DEC 2001, China announced 'the principles for compulsory certification management', applied to products related to human life and health, animals, plants, environmental protection and national security. The first CCC catalogue covers all products in 132 categories from 19groups.
Replacement: The new compulsory certification mark (the CCC mark) will replace two previous certifications: CCIB (China Comity Inspection Bureau)& CCEE (Certification of Conformity for Electrical Equipment).

Implement: The new compulsory certification will be formal implement from May 1st, 2002. From Aug 1st 2003, any products covered by the catalogue can't be marketed, imported or used for any commercial purpose if not gained the CCC mark.
